On Saturday at 11:30pm there is a Weightlifting meet at RCFV.
If you would like to lift – entry is free but you must be a member of Welsh Weightlifting. If you are not you can join for £20 on the day and then this will cover you for 1 year and enable you to enter any contests that you like. I think the meet will be split up into Mens and Womens with beginner, intermediate and advanced categories – I do not think it will be run in weight classes as a normal meet would. We will have more details hopefully later today from Rhod and we will post them here.
Even if you do not plan to enter stick around and watch – why not bring a cool box full of beer?!! I think Tom Collinson will be lifting so we can give him some support. I know quite a few Welsh CrossFitters from boxes around Wales will be coming down to compete and they are no better than any of you guys so give it a go!!! I think Darius (a future Olympic hopeful that Rhod is coaching) is going to lift as a bit of an exhibition and it is always cool to see big weights shifted – so stick around after class Sat.
