Today is one of those days that is just, well….cool. 8am watch Wales vs Australia then 9am hit open gym work some skills / mobility hang out, talk shit. 10am CrossFit For Hope (Push HARD) 11am onwards hang out talk more shit, go grab a coffee do some shopping get those new Vans you’ve wanted for a while..go on you deserve it. Tonight one of our awesome RCFV nights out! This is the first time I have posted RCFV night out and not CFV!!!
On that note I just wanted to say thank you to each and everyone of you that is at the heart of what we do in RCFV and 100% along for the ride on this incredible CrossFit journey. When I stop and reflect midway through a class ripping into a WOD everyone seems to move in slow motion and I realise how far we have come in little under 4 years it blows my mind.
I will not be there to celebrate our name change shindig and would really love to be there but it is never easy to find a date that suits everyone!! I am away most weekend’s and on this rare weekend I am not, Alison and I made plans to see some old friends we don’t see often long before we set a date for the RCFV night.
I want to say congrats to the winners of the Male CrossFitter, Female CrossFitter and the Spirit of CrossFit awards. You have all developed immensely and are a credit to RCFV. But to be honest I felt anyone of a number of you could have walked away with these awards. What you do – CrossFit, is incredible, it is hard, it sucks, it hurts and yet you come back for more! By doing CrossFit you are literally changing your life – you will live a longer healthier life it is that simple. All those “haters” who rag on CrossFit cannot see through the chalk, ripped hands and tops off mentality and understand the simple essence of CrossFit – it changes your life.
So have a beer for me tonight guys and girls and I will see you on the ice!!

Chest to bar Pull-ups

“Hope” has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep.

    195 reps (20kg power snatch,kipping pull ups)rest as rx enjoyed this morning great to see so many people doing the wod at once looking forward to getting on the beers tonight as a reward;)

    Tough workout – 201 rx’d – ctb pull ups need work.

    Congratulations to Nick and Matthew on how far they have come in the 2 years that I have been here. It has been a privilege to be a part of it all.
